Hong Kong 香港 Pet Entry Information

芯片植入后，宠物须接种狂犬疫苗，接种时年龄须满90天，且在入境香港前至少30天完成接种。建议同时完成猫三联或狗五联等其他核心疫苗。

After microchipping, the pet must be vaccinated against rabies. The pet must be at least 90 days old at the time of vaccination, and the vaccination must be completed at least 30 days before entering Hong Kong. Other core vaccines such as FVRCP for cats or DHPP for dogs are also recommended.

Group II、IIIA、IIIB组别的来源国家/地区需要进行狂犬病抗体检测（RNATT）。必须在出发前90天至1年间抽血，并送交AFCD认可的实验室进行检测。检测结果须≥0.5 IU/ml。Group I国家/地区免检。

Rabies Neutralizing Antibody Titre Test (RNATT) is required for pets from Group II, IIIA, and IIIB countries/places. Blood sample must be taken between 90 days and 12 months before departure, and tested at an AFCD-accredited laboratory. The result must be ≥0.5 IU/ml. Pets from Group I countries/places are exempt.

检疫期因来源地组别而异：Group I国家/地区免检疫；Group II、IIIA、IIIB组别需要进行检疫，检疫期为30天至120天不等（来源地分组详情请见Country-Specific Notes）。宠物抵港后将于入境口岸接受健康检查与文件核对。

Quarantine period varies by origin group: Group I countries/places are exempt from quarantine; Group II, IIIA, and IIIB require quarantine ranging from 30 to 120 days (see Country-Specific Notes for group details). Pets will undergo health inspection and document verification upon arrival at the entry port.

Hong Kong Pet Travel Document Checklist

建议提前约3-6个月准备，以确保能完成狂犬病抗体测试及文件申请。

• 出发前至少6个月：植入ISO晶片、接种狂犬疫苗（确保入境前至少30天接种）

• 出发前至少90天至1年：抽血进行狂犬病抗体检测（RNATT），送AFCD认可实验室检测

• 出发前至少3-6个月：向AFCD提交特别许可证申请

• 出发前7-10天：在出发地办理官方《动物卫生证书》（由官方兽医签发）

• 出发：携带所有文件正本，宠物须以货运方式入境（不可以客舱同行）

• 抵达香港：在入境口岸接受AFCD职员的晶片核对及文件检查，根据来源地组别决定是否隔离

Prepare at least 3-6 months in advance to ensure completion of RNATT and permit application.

• At least 6 months before: Implant ISO microchip, rabies vaccination (ensure ≥30 days before entry)

• At least 90 days to 12 months before: Blood draw for RNATT, test at AFCD-accredited lab

• At least 3-6 months before: Apply for AFCD Special Permit

• 7-10 days before: Obtain official Health Certificate from authorized vet in origin country

• Departure: Bring all original documents; pet must travel as cargo (not in cabin)

• Arrival in Hong Kong: Microchip verification and document inspection by AFCD; quarantine may apply based on origin group

Group IIIA（新增）：中国内地、澳门、马来西亚、泰国等（需要RNATT，检疫30天）

Group IIIB：其他未列入I/II/IIIA的高风险地区（需要RNATT，检疫120天）

禁止入境的犬种：比特斗牛㹴、日本土佐犬、阿根廷杜告狗、巴西非拉狗及其混种

货运入境要求：宠物必须通过货运方式入境香港，不能以客舱行李形式带入

Origin Groupings (effective from December 2024):

Group I (quarantine-free): Japan, UK, New Zealand, etc.

Group II: Canada, South Korea, Taiwan, USA (mainland), etc. (RNATT required, 30-day quarantine)

Group IIIA (new): Mainland China, Macau, Malaysia, Thailand, etc. (RNATT required, 30-day quarantine)

Group IIIB: Other high-risk regions not in I/II/IIIA (RNATT required, 120-day quarantine)

Prohibited dog breeds: Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, Fila Brasileiro, and their crosses

Cargo-only entry: Pets must enter Hong Kong as cargo, not as accompanied baggage in the cabin
